Hanover Insurance Company a/s/o Louis Glick & Company v. David Andrew Krivine and Ofer Mimouni, Appellate Division, First Department, April 3, 2012

The Appellate Division, First Department, unanimously affirmed a jury verdict in favor of Abrams Gorelick’s client, Hanover Insurance Company. The case involved ownership of a diamond that had been reported lost by a policy holder, for which Hanover a paid loss under a policy of jeweler’s block insurance. (See Newswire September 20, 2010, “Jury returns diamond to insurer who paid for loss”). The case was successfully tried by Abrams Gorelick’s Steven DiSiervi and Gabrielle H. Puchalsky, who also handled the appeal.
