Mr. Steven DiSiervi to Speak at the 2016 CLM Annual Conference

Steven DiSiervi, Attorney, Abrams, Gorelick, Friedman & Jacobson, LLP, will speak at the CLM Annual Conference, which will be held at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, April 6-8. His session is titled, “Alternative Dispute Resolution – Ethical Considerations of Mediation.”

Mr. DiSiervi’s practice concentrates on handling and trying complex products liability, construction/labor law, general liability and intentional torts cases. He has over 12 years experience in representing companies and individuals in high exposure cases in both State and Federal Court. Mr. DiSiervi also briefs and argues appeals, including an appeal regarding the interpretation of a construction contract that was decided by the Court of Appeals of the State of New York.

He has lectured on a variety of subjects, including trial tactics, construction law and practice and New York Labor Law. He is rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. DiSiervi honed his construction practice to provide sound legal advice and litigation skills to assist a variety of parties in every facet of the construction process. He has successfully represented private and public owners, manufacturers, general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, employees and municipal and State entities in litigation, arbitration and mediation matters. He has represented clients in construction cases dealing with strip malls and shopping centers, office complexes, public buildings, private residences, personal injury and products liability. He has successfully tried, to verdict, a products liability and breach of warranty case against the manufacturer of an industrial trash compactor.

Due to his extensive knowledge and practice in the area of construction law, Mr. DiSiervi has been retained by construction companies to negotiate contracts and provide opinions concerning a variety of site issues. He is responsible for drafting educational materials used nationally.
