Michael Gorelick is a founding member of Abrams, Gorelick. He has practiced litigation and appellate law for more than 40 years. He has served as national coordinating coverage counsel for a property/ casualty insurer in connection with its asbestos coverage litigation and currently acts as coverage/monitoring counsel for a large London based insurer in connection with its opioid claim and litigation exposure. Mr. Gorelick also has extensive experience in employment practices liability matters, having represented businesses, management, and municipalities in state and federal court litigation involving 42 U.S.C. Section 1983 claims and claims of harassment, hostile workplace and retaliation

Over the years, Mr. Gorelick has represented and counseled a wide variety of clients including, among others: Lloyd’s of London and domestic insurance companies; Neuberger Berman, Inc.; The Village of Rockville Centre, New York; Home Depot, Inc.; National Wholesale Liquidators; DaimlerChrysler Financial Services; as well as many commercial property owners, restaurants, taverns, and retailers.

Mr. Gorelick is a frequent lecturer at insurance industry and Bar Association programs and has authored numerous articles. He
was a contributing author of West’s Federal Litigation Manual (1990 ed.) and has been selected as a New York Super Lawyer since 2011. Mr. Gorelick is rated by Martindale-Hubble as an AV Preeminent Lawyer.
