General Liability

The plaintiff claimed that she was shot by her boyfriend with a gun registered to and owned by his employer, AGF&J's client, a cooperative supermarket.  Plaintiff alleged that the supermarket was negligent in hiring, training, supervising and entrusting her boyfriend with a gun.  AGF&J won summary judgment for the supermarket on grounds that it did not owe a duty to plaintiff and that any negligence on the part of the supermarket was not a proximate cause of the accident.

AGF&J defends a wide variety of general liability lawsuits as diverse as negligent entrustment, negligent hiring and supervision, false imprisonment, libel and slander and assault and battery.  Our attorneys are adept at handling these matters from the inception of litigation through trial and appeals, if necessary.
