Alternative Dispute Resolution

A tenant fell down an elevator shaft, sustaining injuries that left him wheelchair-bound and with severe cognitive impairment.  Early in discovery, AGF&J's attorneys determined that a jury would likely find liability against our client, the building owner.  In view of the unfavorable liability outlook and significant exposure, we recommended mediation, a strategy that avoided the unnecessary expense of a trial and the risk of a sympathetic jury awarding an excessive verdict.

AGF&J seeks the most efficient and cost-effective disposition of each matter we handle.  When advantageous, we utilize alternative dispute resolution to achieve that goal.  Many of our attorneys are trained in mediation, arbitration and negotiation and we consistently obtain favorable results for our clients using these skills.
