Verdict in diamond case affirmed

The Appellate Division, First Department, unanimously affirmed a jury verdict in favor of AGF&J’s client, Hanover Insurance Company. The case involved ownership of a diamond that had been reported lost by a policy holder, for which Hanover a paid loss under a policy of jeweler’s block insurance. (See Newswire September 20, 2010, “Jury returns diamond to insurer who paid for loss”). The case was successfully tried by AGF&J’s Steven DiSiervi and Gabrielle H. Puchalsky, who also handled the appeal.
