Michael  Goldwasser, Associate

Mr. Goldwasser's practice focuses on insurance coverage and coverage litigation. He represents carriers in all aspects of coverage matters, including with respect to commercial general liability, directors & officers liability, first-party property losses, and business interruption. In this capacity, he helps advise insurers in all phases of the claims process. When necessary, Mr. Goldwasser helps defend against "bad faith" and breach of contract claims in coverage litigation. He also represents insurers' interests in complex subrogation and primary/excess matters.

Mr. Goldwasser's practice also involves defending corporate clients and property owners involved in high-exposure general, product, and premises liability litigation.

He has also handled appeals before New York appellate courts, including a notable decision involving subrogation rights.

Mr. Goldwasser is a native of New City, New York and a graduate of the Clarkstown public schools. He received his bachelor's degree from the Cornell University College of Human Ecology. He graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 2016, where he was a member of the Unemployment Action Center, advocating before administrate law judges and the Appeals Board at the New York State Department of Labor on behalf of claimants initially denied unemployment benefits.
