Leonard G. Kamlet, Partner

Mr. Kamlet is Martindale-Hubbel AV Preeminent Rated and has over 30 years of trial experience. He started his career in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office where, for seven years, he handled white-collar investigations and trials, as well as appeals. A major portion of his career in civil practice has been spent defending all aspects of premises liability, construction accident, products liability, and transportation claims. He has also developed expertise in the defense of large property damage subrogation claims and has had extensive experience in toxic tort litigation including asbestos, lead poisoning, and mold claims.

Mr. Kamlet’s devotion to detail during all phases of litigation, from inception through trial, has allowed him to better counsel his clients and obtain favorable outcomes on their behalf, both from an indemnity and expense perspective and by negotiating settlements from a position of strength. Ever mindful of the costs of protracted litigation, Mr. Kamlet targets appropriate cases for early resolution and has had great success obtaining the cooperation of the plaintiffs' bar in altering historically counter-productive attitudes. Alternative dispute resolution is an important adjunct to his approach.

Mr. Kamlet has tried a multitude of cases to verdict, and he brings a reputation in the legal community as a formidable trial adversary to the negotiating table as well.
